This classroom is for children who have not yet mastered their independent use of the restroom. This program offers three options: five-morning, three-morning (Monday, Wednesday, Friday), or two-morning (Tuesday, Thursday). The morning work cycle (8:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.) mimics the Children's House in a developmentally appropriate way of the Montessori curriculum. It includes snack and large motor movement. The class is designed to prepare students for the Children's House, and at the teacher's recommendation, the students will graduate to Children's House once they are toilet-trained or three years of age. This transition to the five-morning program may occur during the school year when the student demonstrates readiness and an ability to concentrate and communicate.
