Make it a memorable summer for your child with hands-on, fun-filled, enrichment classes. Your child will take part in a variety of activities each week. Literature, song, dance, cooking, art projects and activities await. The excitement all happens in a familiar and safe environment—a Montessori classroom.
Consistent with the Montessori philosophy, classrooms are prepared with developmentally appropriate materials for the various needs of your child. This program provides an excellent opportunity for students to maintain and improve upon skills acquired during the preceding school year. Prior Montessori experience is not required as it also serves as an introduction for students joining the Montessori classroom in the fall.
Children will be encouraged to explore as they are supported on their personal journey to increase their independence, expand their social and emotional development, and maintain or strengthen their academic skills during the long summer vacation.
Your child will work with a highly qualified team of teachers. A certified Montessori teacher will be available to assist your child as they manipulate the beautiful Montessori materials. Additionally, early childhood specialists will manage the integration of the celebration focus area in the classroom and oversee the outdoor
Lower Elementary: (Grades 1-3) – Main Campus – 2600 Summit Avenue, Waukesha, WI
Students will have the opportunity to experience different worlds and areas of interest. Mornings are a time of exploration in the classroom with different themes each week; a field trip related to the week’s area of study may be scheduled. Afternoons will feature a variety of activities, including swimming on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. In addition to the themed programming available to the elementary students, we also offer Math & Language Enrichment. Math & Language Enrichment is offered to Lower Elementary students (1st – 3rd grade) each morning from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and is limited to 10 children per week. In order for the Math & Language program to be effective, families must select five consecutive days on a week-by-week basis. A Montessori trained teacher will be able to work with your student in order to give more attention to areas of challenge and/or guide them into advanced materials and lessons. This will give them an amazing advantage and strong preparedness going into the next school year. This program is ideal for incoming first graders, giving them a soft introduction to the elementary classroom as well as those going into grades 2 & 3 who are looking to continue their momentum of learning all year long.
